Black Spirit is a wise, mysterious inhabitant of the spiritual realm.
She was once part of the material plane, but spent so much time in the spiritual one that it would be impossible for her to live somewhere else now.
Black Spirit mostly speaks in metaphors and sports a somewhat anti-social disposition, manifesting herself in dreams or visions virtually to only one person in the material plane that she took on as her protégé.

 

She always wear as mask a piece of skull. Her fur is completely black, except for a little red spot on her forehead that isn't visible.

Hello! The name was Alys

Alys Graham was born a lycanthrope and soon became a Dark witch among the most powerful nature could have gifted, wise, intuitive, wild. She had magic at her fingertips, ghosts and spirits followed her steps and spoke to her like a dear friend, trees whispered her secrets of wild magic, and moonlight kissed her pale face whenever she scouted the woodlands at night.
Because of that, she was already known by some as the Black Spirit.
However, there was a secret in her bloodline: the Graham family happened to be the conjunction of the dynasties descended from two powerful forces, the human blood of Samael, and the dragon blood of the simulacrum "Beredice".
She was a witch of darkness and the fire element didn't manifest in her aura, but somewhere inside her there was a potential: if she ever happened to have a male son, he would have become the perfect vessel for a reincarnation of Samael, the fallen angel of justice and destruction, and they both would have been hunted down by the Dark Ministry... but when she discovered that truth about herself, her firstborn was already born and named.
She couldn't let anyone know she had a son. If they thought she hadn't passed down the "gift" of Samael's dormant spirit, and that it still was in her, Alys would have been the only target of the Dark Ministry's hunt.
Reluctantly, Alys decided that the most sensible choice to protect the baby and his father (an absolutely not magic woodworker named Ron) was to leave... and so she did what would be impossible for most humans: she fled into the spiritual realm.

Over the Veil

She made a dwelling among the other spirits, taking the appearance of her true self as a wolfish creature.
Many years passed and changed her, adapting more and more to the convoluted ways of spirits, until she could no longer be told apart from the creatures native of her realm. From afar, she saw her son grow; he had inherited her magic and perception and, when his mind allowed her, she tried to guide and support him. The more baby Thomas and his powers grew, more Black Spirit could be at his side.
When he learnt how to pass over the veil, he started to look for her as his spirit guide, and the two grew closer and more trusting of each other.
And even when Samael had awakened in him, bringing the brightness of a fire element to the calm, earthly tones of Thomas' aura, he managed to retain the control of his own body and meet her again. In the end, when Thomas managed to befriend the Dark Minister himself (effectively putting an end to the hunt for his/Samael's head), the truth about Black Spirit being Thomas' mother came out with a little help from Mark McWoodland.
She will decide to keep living among spirits in her newfound home, but Black Spirit will, from that moment on, be considered a part of the already big family of the Malanove pack, albeit not an official pack member.

• She's terribly clumsy in the physical world (and that's quite embarassing to her). Now, even when she exits the spiritual realm, she does not revert to the original form she had before entering it, but she remains in what became her own during her stay beyond the veil.

When she was just a few months old she lived with a human family, a family that she adored with all her strength. As a magical cat, Regina knew her destiny was to become the familiar of the baby that was about to be born, and that she was destined to guide and share with him all sorts of marvelous, magical adventures in the future. However, this did never happen. Her human mother thought that a pet could somehow interfere with her pregnancy, and abandoned her: Regina, still young and frail, became a stray. Living in the streets and nurturing her resentment for her former family, she learned to fend for herself and how to survive and use her tender appearance to manipulate others. A few years later, her dark ascending started when she tied the young lycan Taker to herself through a magic bond, saving him from certain death and planning revenge for both of them. He had almost died because of the economic interests of some ruthless businessman, while she had been endangered and alone because of ignorance... since she had a lot of plotting to do, Regina became more experienced with dark magic in the following years, and even learned to speak and understand English, although a distorted version of it. A long journey brought Regina where she is now, as a rich, secret CEO of a fighting federation and closer than ever to her and Taker's revenge, but most importantly enjoying the money and power of her status by buying scandalous amounts of fancy toys, collars, cat food, and even a dog, the mastiff Lola. Adorable, shameless and capricious, she is living at the moment in the house of her Taker's human friend Anita. In 2018 she became a mom to three adorable and vicious kittens together with her "boyfriend" Romeo, a pedigreed tuxedo black and white Maine Coon cat. At the beginning of the same year her former family disappeared under bloody, mysterious circumstances.   Style notes: Regina is a very intelligent cat, frighteningly so, but she can be seen acting both as a dumb kitten and a brilliant overlord from one moment to the other. Often that happens because she'll adapt her behavior to the situation to get what she wants, but sometimes dumb kitty behavior will be triggered by the only fact that... she's still a cat, and her brain has virtually no inhibitory brakes. She always wears some fancy collar!   Trivia Regina has a magic bond with her best friend Taker. They are so close that she will often feel his likes and dislikes as her own, especially when it comes to the judgement reserved to other people. She may be a bit of an evil cat and not make it clear often, but she would do anything to see Taker happy. Even if she enjoys the company of Anita, the owner of the house in which she's living, she considers her to be inferior to her and Taker. She writes English words exactly as she pronunces them, and reads them following the same logic. She has a strong... cat accent too, which is absolutely adorable but doesn't help with the spelling. For example, since she says "purrfict" with her little kitty mouth instead of "perfect", that's how she's gonna write it. Regina tries not to show around too much she's a cat, because she doesn't want her legal person to be contested. She mostly manages her business via phone or e-mail, even if that makes her come across as a severely dyslexic businesswoman.
