Rumius are a semi-open species invented and managed by FuriaAndMimma!

Every rumiu is registered to the Rumiu Genealogical Tree – an online register that’s always freely open for consultation by anyone – which makes it officially part of the species and allows the owners to breed it with other rumius.

What does that mean for you?

We’ll keep it simple: the management of this species works like a professional breeding farm, and there are three ways to obtain a rumiu.

 

The first is to buy it directly from us: we’ll regularly put new designs up for grabs!

 

The second is to contact us and buy a MYO (make your own) ticket for only 7 dollars, which allows you to take the reins on the design for your first generation rumiu and, once it's approved, make it become an official part of the species, signing them up for the official Genealogical Registry!

The third is to breed it yourself (or to buy the design from a friend that already bred it): if you’re the owner of a couple of rumius of opposite sexes, it doesn’t matter if first or second generation, you can do this:

1) Contact us and send us a note in which you specify the identity of the two parents (they don’t need to be owned by the same person! You can breed your rumiu with another one that belongs to a friend or a fellow rumiu enthusiast, as long as they’re a male and a female and that both owners agree to this breeding).

2) We’re gonna register the offspring to the Rumiu Genealogical Tree, making it officially part of the species!
Every breeding will generate a maximum of two baby rumius, and a rumiu can be bred max twice every year.

 

3) Done, you have your baby rumiu/s! 

Of course, all baby rumius obtained through this method won't be first generation, and will be instead categorized as the generation following the one of their "latest" parent, the one that belongs to the most recent category.

For example, if your baby rumiu is born from a first gen and a second gen, they will register as third generation. If they're born from a fifth gen and a third gen, they will register as sixth generation, ecc...
 

Let’s talk about what we all know you want to know: the design! What will your baby rumiu look like?
The generated offspring can have any mix of features inherited by the parents, or even other relatives, but no features that don’t already figure in their bloodline.

For example, a green and red rumiu cannot produce a yellow offspring, but the offspring can have both green AND red in its palette.
You can invent the design of this new rumiu yourself or decide to commision us; commision for rumiu designs are always open, and for bred rumius that are obtained like this, the standard ones only cost $15 dollars.
Standard design commissions are made using a base created by us, so they have all the same pose, but with colors and features personal to the commissioned design. If you wish to get something more complex or just different, you can check our commission prices, that you can find →HERE←

But wait, what if you’re buying an official rumiu from someone who isn’t us? In that case, we only would like to be notified of the ownership transferral, so we can keep the Register updated!
Please, do so with some proof (a screenshot, for example) so we know you’re not just stealing the design from someone else.

I rumiu sono una specie semi-aperta inventata e gestita da FuriaAndMimma!

Ogni rumiu è registrato nel Registro Genalogico dei Rumiu -- un registro online che è sempre aperto gratuitamente alla consultazione da chiunque -- che lo rende ufficialmente parte della specie e consente al proprietario o alla proprietaria di farli riprodurre.

Cosa vuol dire questo per te?

La faremo breve: la gestione di questa specie funziona come un allevamento vero e proprio, perciò ci sono due modi per ottenere un rumiu.

 

Il primo consiste nel comprarlo direttamente da noi: renderemo regolarmente disponibili nuovi design su cui potrete mettere le manine!

 

Il secondo è contattarci e comprare un biglietto MYO (ossia make your own, "crea il tuo") per soli 7 dollari, che ti consente di prendere le redini sul design del tuo rumiu di prima generazione e, una volta approvato, farlo diventare un membro ufficiale della specie, registrato nel Registro Genealogico

 

Il terzo è di farlo nascere tu (o comprare il design da un amico che ha già fatto riprodurre i propri): se possiedi una coppia di rumiu di sesso opposto, non importa se di prima o seconda generazione, ecco cosa puoi fare:

1) Contattaci per mandarci una nota in cui specifichi l'identità dei due genitori (non c'è bisogno che appartengano entrambi alla stessa persona! Puoi far accoppiare il tuo rumiu con quello di un amico o di un altro proprietario di rumiu, basta che siano un maschio e una femmina e che entrambi i proprietari siano d'accordo con questo accoppiamento).

2) Noi registreremo la prole all'Albero Genealogico dei Rumiu, rendendola ufficialmente parte della specie!

Ogni accoppiamento darà vita ad un massimo di due piccoli rumiu, ed un rumiu può riprodursi al massimo due volte all'anno.

 

3) Fatto! Hai il tuo (o i tuoi) baby rumiu!

Adesso parliamo di quello che tutti sappiamo ti interessa sapere: il design! Che aspetto avrà il tuo cucciolo di rumiu?

La prole può avere una combinazione qualunque dei tratti ereditati dai genitori, o persino da altri parenti, ma non può avere caratteristiche che non figurano da nessuna parte nella sua linea di sangue.

Per esempio, un rumiu verde e uno rosso non potranno produrre un cucciolo giallo, ma la prole potrà avere sia il rosso che il verde tra i suoi colori.

Puoi decidere di inventare il design di questo nuovo rumiu da te, oppure commissionare noi; le commissioni per i design dei rumiu sono sempre aperte, e per i rumiu così ottenuti, quelle standard costano solo $15 dollari.

Le commissioni standard di design di Rumiu sono fatte usando una base creata da noi, perciò hanno tutte la stessa posa, ma con colori e tratti personalizzati per il design commissionato. Aspetta un secondo, e se invece stai comprando un rumiu ufficiale da qualcuno che non siamo noi? In quel caso, ci piacerebbe semplicemente avere una notifica sul trasferimento di proprietà, così possiamo tenere il nostro registro aggiornato!

Per favore, mandateci anche qualche prova (uno screenshot per esempio) che il rumiu vi è stato veramente venduto dal vecchio proprietario, così sappiamo che non state semplicemente rubando il design da qualcun altro.
